Insertion Vortex Meter:

Insertion Vortex Flow Meter for 10" Pipes and above The Insertion Vortex meter is designed to be used for pipe diameters above 10". Note that for pipe ID's ABOVE 10" the CENTER of the Vortex sensor should be placed at 5" [125 mm] from the edge of the pipe. Such placement is fully representative of the flow in the entire pipe.
